Eye Movement Modeling Examples as a Teaching Tool for Epidural Block

چکیده
Introduction: Video examples with task demonstrations by experts, the expert’s eye movements superimposed on task, are known as “eye movement modeling examples” (EMME). We performed this study to evaluate if there were improvements in performance of anesthesia novice trainees when executing epidural technique after an EMME block procedure. Methods: developed example (EMME) from tracking recordings made experienced anesthesiologists more than 20 years experience. Forty-two PGY3 who had never previously randomized receive (study group) or not (control video before their institutional training. All evaluated every 10 blocks until end rotation period, independent, blinded observer using Global Rating Scale for Epidural Anesthesia (GRS). Use Wrong Examples as a Tool for Teaching
Active learning plays an important role for invigorating students in learning. Different active learning strategies have been discussed and implemented in many disciplines. In this paper, we propose using wrong examples as a tool on teaching computer engineering courses. Traditionally, an instructor only passes correct knowledge to students and students are busy with notetaking inside classroom...

background the caudal approach to the epidural space has been used for decades to treat low back pain caused by lumbosacral root compression. the use of fluoroscopy during epidural steroid injection is the preferred method for placing the needle more accurately in the sacral hiatus, but it carries the risk of radiation hazard. objectives the aim of the study was to assess the anatomical structu...

CHREST (Chunk Hierarchy and REtrieval STructures) is a comprehensive, computational model of human learning and perception. It has been used to successfully simulate data in a variety of domains, including: the acquisition of syntactic categories, expert behaviour, concept formation, implicit learning, and the acquisition of multiple representations in physics for problem solving. The aim of th...
متن کاملTeaching Holography: Holography as a Teaching Tool
The holo-diagram is a diagram originally designed as a tool for teaching the making and evaluation of holograms. It was soon found to include much more general uses than first expected. During the 20 years since its introduction we have applied this diagram to explain many different fields such as holography, interferometry, diffraction. Fermat's principle, light-in-flight recordings, threedime...
